Maureen is a graphic designer, illustrator and print maker with a love for nature, folklore and storytelling. She is French and spent her childhood on the country, not far from Lyon in a traditional farm run by her grandparents. The forests, lakes, animals and wildlife of where she grew up heavily inspire her work. She spent some years in Paris where she studied and started her graphic design practice. After moving to London she graduated with a Masters degree in graphic design and Illustration from the Royal College of Art in 2004.
Alongside commercial projects Maureen produces personal work in the form of limited edition prints. Her work has been exhibited in London and abroad, most recently in 2009 in the exhibition “Wonderland” at the Museum of Childhood. Using silhouettes, organic shapes, bright colours and quirky characters, Maureen's playful visual language continues to explore different forms of narratives. Viewers are invited to create their own stories and interpretation.
