While editing legendary UK magazine Zigzag in the 70s, which he laid out by hand, Kris started DJing at 1977 punk gigs, continuing in the 80s at the infamous Batcave club then in the 90s when, bitten by the acid house bug, he became tour DJ for groups like Primal Scream and Prodigy while playing clubs around the world. This led to reviving the recording career which started with a punk group called the Vice Creems, spanning the 90s with various productions, collaborations, remixes and even a sniff of chart success with Secret Knowledge before forming Bunnymad 69 with wife Michelle [about to recommence recording].

Having been immersed in and written about every major musical trend since the 60s, Kris now calls on these experiences to write for publications including MOJO, Record Collector, Clash and Shindig! while keeping a finger on dance music’s pulse via his weekly reviews in DMC Update. He is currently working on an updated, expanded version of Needs Must while The Trip illustration has prodded him to hit the canvas again, at the moment with a serious of paintings inspired by his nine pet rabbits!
